Meetings may be held at various local attractions or at:

Chamber Boardroom
501 Poyntz Ave
Manhattan, KS 66502

Fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 am (or as otherwise indicated, dependent on tour).

Hospitality At Its Best
The purpose of the Little Apple® Corps is to assist Convention & Visitors Bureau in providing exceptional hospitality to visiting groups. Members will provide services to convention delegates, reunions, sporting and specials events.

Qualifications
A Little Apple Corps committee member must be:

  • A Manhattan resident of two or more years
  • Knowledgeable of Manhattan and its attractions
  • Enthusiastic about Manhattan and what it has to offer

Responsibilities
Members assist with convention and reunion registrations and occasionally act as a Manhattan tour guide, pointing out attractions and businesses to convention / reunion bus tours or as a companion guide for group tours.

Members assist with special events such as 2A State High School Basketball Tournament, Country Stampede, State High School swimming & diving meets, etc. Members should be open to helping with unique hospitality opportunities (e.g., Casino Night, special group requests).

Members should attend at least 9 out of 12 meetings/tours throughout the year in order to gain more knowledge about area attractions and learn current hospitality industry news. Members volunteer at least 1-5 hours each month (varies with season) for convention / reunion registrations, tours and special events.

Benefits
Little Apple Corps members gain the personal satisfaction of helping others and showing visitors the best hospitality Manhattan has to offer. They meet hundreds of new people from the area, the nation and around the globe! Members are also eligible for “Tourism Bucks” reward program—a small way of saying “thank you” to our great volunteers!
